Put some masking tape on the main gear wheel pants and layed out the cutout area and screw hole locations. Fitted the wheel pants to the main gear. I needed to increase the height of the gear cutouts about 5/16" for clearance on the gear leg. Also needed to provide a slot on the upper rear of the cutout for the brake cable to pass through.
It was a bit difficult to fit the pant over the gear leg initially, but I found that tilting the pant forward and sliding it back and rotating down worked ok. I also needed to spread/guide the pant over the protruding axle shaft and the aft portion of the slot to avoid the pant hanging up on the axle and pant retaining plate.
There is no info in the plans, but I'll need to provide some type of access to the valve stem for routine tire pressure checks.
I still need to do some fiberglass touch-up and fill/sand the seam to prepare the pants for painting.
